Another driver suffers a heat stroke this time at the wheel. Not only was this UPS drivers life at risk so were the lives of the people on the road, and the Cafe. Since starting this petition, I’ve heard from drivers, warehouse workers, families and Medication Advocates, all of whom have shared their stories. Most anonymously, for fear of retribution as I’ve said throughout the years. In fact, when NBC first did a story only 130 cases of heat - related injuries were reported. One is too many, but to the point that number was way below the actual amount of heat-related injuries. Four years later more, and more workers are coming forward, with conviction and no fear with a strong leadership, under their new Teamster President Sean O’Brien. UPS you can no longer hide these stories by using intimidation, fear, and harassment. The Public, Media, Workers Safety Groups, and OSHA, to name just a few are watching. National Attention for the first time has come forth concerning lack of AC, and Safety for the Drivers, Workers, Medications, and the General Public. The time is here, UPS with all eyes watching.
