Taking a Step Back

Hello everyone,

It is with a heavy heart that I must share I will be stepping away from this petition for now. Unfortunately, I am facing significant opposition and pressure to remain silent, which has made it difficult to move forward as I had hoped.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who supported this vision and worked alongside me to make the climbing and outdoor community a safer, more inclusive space. Your support has meant the world to me. Sadly, there are some who have spread misinformation about my intentions with this movement, and I felt it was important to speak for myself one last time.

My belief remains strong: every person—regardless of gender, identity, or background—deserves to feel safe and welcomed in the outdoors, free from fear of harassment, assault, or harm. Everyone deserves to have their voice heard, and their experiences validated.

That said, it seems that we are ahead of where the community is currently, and the hostility I've encountered has made it clear that now is not the right time to continue this fight. It is with a heavy heart that I must step away, but I hope that one day, the conversation will continue and the change we seek will come.

For now, I will leave my YouTube videos up, as they may help others know they are not alone in their experiences. I hope that, in time, we can all come together again to speak out against the injustices that persist.
