OKWU President Emeritus Dr. Everett Piper asked for these comments to be made public about the forum being held tonight at the institution he used to lead. Here it is in full: 

I’ve been very open in saying that one of the votes I regret most as an Osage County Commissioner was voting yes on Flock Cameras. 

I did so out of respect to the then sitting sheriff’s request, but I wish I hadn’t. 

I was wrong and definitely stand against them now that I’ve learned more.  

My constituents did not want them and I should have done more research before I voted.
