Hey Greensboro-- we have responsibility to our neighbors to the east of us in Alamance County.

In 2018, Officer Doug Strader was one of the officers who killed Marcus Deon Smith here in Greensboro. In 2020, in a unrelated situation, Strader was fired from the Greensboro Police Department for using deadly force against a driver and passengers of a fleeing car. Six short months later, Officer Strader was hired by the Graham Police Department in Alamance County.The people of Graham were outraged. Why would their police bring on someone who had a documented and repeated history of violence against citizens?

A year later, all of our worst fears about Officer Strader came true. He violently attacked teenagers in Graham, and it was caught on video. See below.

Now folks in Graham are trying to get him removed from the force (again). Can you help? What help looks like:

3. Live in Alamance County? Come on out to the Graham City Council meeting next Tuesday at 6 PM to express ask that Strader be removed from the Graham Police Department. Only local residents can make public comment during the meeting.
