Dear Supporters,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to provide an urgent update on the recent developments concerning the capital gains tax changes brought forward by Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland.

On Monday, June 10th 2024, the Liberal government proceeded with these changes without any public discussion or announcement on how they intend to mitigate the greater impact on our purchasing power. This action, taken without transparency or consideration of its consequences, highlights a glaring neglect of the economic well-being of Canadians.

Our collective voice has already made a difference — our letter to Parliament has been read and circulated among the relevant parties of both administrations of Freeland and Trudeau. However, it is clear that we need to push harder to ensure our concerns are heard and addressed. The approval of these changes without addressing the critical issue of purchasing power is direct evidence of leadership that is prioritizing political agendas over the prosperity of the country.

June 25th, 2024 is when this budget is passed. Now, more than ever, we need to reignite the fire and advocate for a more responsible and transparent approach to economic policies. Here’s how you can help:

Share the Petition: Spread the word about our cause. Encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to sign and share the petition.

Contact Your Representatives: Reach out to our MPs and express your concerns about the lack of public discussion and the impact on purchasing power concerning the 2024 Proposed Liberal Budget. I've taken the liberty of copying and pasting addresses at the bottom of this update. Here are the emails for ease:

Thank you for your continued support and dedication. Together, we can make a difference and advocate for a fair and transparent approach to economic policy.

Let’s continue to do our best for the prosperity of our country.

Best regards,
