Well, I was hopeful when I posted the last update. However, since then, the momentum we had mustered with County Commissioner support and RYAM/FDEP, has waned. After numerous delays, RYAM had committed to a late January community meeting, to share information and field questions. About 2 weeks ago, that meeting was requested to be "rescheduled" by RYAM due to COVID mitigation protocols at the company. They have not, however, provided a reschedule date, and have been silent on requests for a smaller, COVID safe meeting. FDEP has downright expressed NO interest in being present for a meeting. Please consider submitting your concerns to http://www.surveygizmo.com/.../Northeast-District-Citizen In my submission, I noted that "potentially unsafe concentrations of hydrogen sulfide were present, impacting thousands of nearby residents and that longer term air monitoring was needed."
