Hello everyone.
I wanted to update you all on some positive developments to keep you inforned.
1. The mayors office has reached out to me.
Mayor Pavone's office reached out to me on Friday August 29th to give answers to some of my questions and he offered to set up a time to meet. This is very positive news and is still in the works to coordinate as I would like to have my own representatives attend with me. I also offered to the mayor and his staff to come visit my home and community so he can get a visual idea and hear from other people that live here what we have dealt with the past ten years. I hope he accepts that offer.
2. On August 27th it appears the HOA finally filed for a Sheriff's sale.
I only found this out after looking it up on King Counties records website. Noone from the hoa informed me of this. This is also a positive step in the right direction. However this process frustratingly takes time. From my understanding the homeowner has been given over a year, 12 months plus 30 day extension, to pay off the llien. I hope all the criminal activities, property damages, and noise nuisances will cease to exist during this 12 months but history has shown that is very unlikely. But nonetheless this is very positive regardless of how frustratingly slow the process takes.
Keep sharing the petition.
The main goal of this petition was to tell the city to enforce the laws on the books sooner to protect homeowners against known repeating destructive nuisance neighbors more aggressively by fining and abating properties. I think any reasonable person woukd agree that ten years is far too long for chronic nuisances to go on in a community.
