First of all - a big thanks to each and every one of you who have signed the petition calling for the CPP to divest from Tesla. We've averaged about 50 signatures a day for the last 3 days. That's pretty good, given that I'm essentially a hermit with an extremely limited social network.
I figure if a petition to strip Elon Musk of Canadian citizenship can get over 350k signatures, there's no reason we can't top that.
We all know the stakes are high. The world order is shifting and folks like Musk are positioning to take on roles of unprecedented power and influence.
We also know that his empire is built on a deck of cards, with Tesla being valued higher than the 10 largest automakers combined. And this despite shrinking shares and profits and a brand that has become globally toxic.
I'm reaching out now to ask you to use whatever social network or connections you have at your disposal to spread the word and share this petition. There's not a lot within our sphere of control that we can do to repair the world order and protect our country from Trump, but we can sure as hell fight to make sure we're not funding some unfunny wannabe Nazi's despotic desires.
