In 2024 I commenced legal proceedings in the Employment Tribunal against the University of Leeds following a formal written warning and the removal of my Emeritus Professor privileges over the ‘Hillel House’ incident.  I challenged the University on grounds of discriminating against me because of my pro-Palestinian beliefs.  I am delighted to say that on 1 June 2026, on the first day of the trial, the University of Leeds and I settled our case, on the basis that the University completely revoked the formal written warning and restored my Emeritus Professor privileges. I want to thank the many individuals who have supported me on this difficult journey for justice.
