This article is a good rundown on how toxic social media is for animals - particularly TikTok. So much of what people do nowadays is for views and likes. This narcissistic behavior is utterly damaging to animals who are roped into people's desire for attention. Even though you might not see blood in these "cute" or "funny" videos, doesn't mean that abuse isn't happening. Mistreatment of an animal includes tying hairbands around their ears, pulling their face back as far as possible, putting a cucumber next to a cat so they can jump from fear, etc.
