To everyone who has signed, shared, and reached out: Thank you.

I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of support we have received in such a short amount of time. While I am heartened by the community standing behind Rylee, I am also deeply saddened. My inbox has been flooded with messages from parents sharing stories that mirror our own—stories of children who were failed by the systems meant to protect them, leading to devastating outcomes, including su*cide and attempts.

These are not "isolated incidents." They are a systemic failure.

Reading these stories confirms what I already knew: we are not just fighting for one student; we are fighting for every child who has been made to feel that their safety doesn't matter. It is a tragedy that so many families have had to endure the same "I don't recall" excuses and "victim-shifting" tactics that we are fighting against right now at Parkland High School.

We cannot, and will not, accept a status quo that treats student mental health as an afterthought.

Because of your support:

Our voice is getting louder. The administration and the Board can no longer claim they aren't aware of the depth of this issue.

The pressure is building. We are showing that the community demands a "Zero Tolerance" policy that actually protects the victim and holds the aggressor accountable.

Please continue to share this petition. Every signature represents a demand for a school environment where no child has to choose between their education and their life.

We are just getting started.

With deep gratitude and determination,

Julie Kalinoski
