I hope you all have had a chance to contact the Hamilton County Commission to share your concerns! If not, then now would be a great time! Resolution No. 326-18 is on the agenda for this week. 

"A Resolution authorizing the County Mayor, on behalf of Hamilton County, to enter into and 
execute all documents relative to a lease agreement with Jailhouse Properties, LLC for the 
occupancy and operational use of the former Hamilton County Justice Center located at 
601 Walnut Street, Chattanooga, Tennessee."

The commissioners meet every Wednesday at 4:00 PM at the Hamilton County Courthouse. The schedule alternates between agenda-setting meetings ("Agenda Sessions") and voting meetings ("Regular Meetings"). Tomorrow, Wed., March 11th, is an Agenda Session. The commissioners will discuss which resolutions they will vote on at the next Regular Meeting, which is Wed., March 18th. That means that the commissioners will discuss the above resolution tomorrow. They will vote on the resolution on March 18th. 

Tomorrow during the agenda session, public comment can be made during the specified period the end of the meeting. During the regular meeting (aka voting session) on March 18th, you can make public comment during the comment period specific to the resolution. Comments are usually limited to 3 minutes. Both meetings start at 4:00 PM. It is recommended that you arrive on time to get a seat. There are several controversial resolutions on the agenda, and the room could quickly fill to capacity.
