I, along with many other concerned residents of our street, have endured the impact of improper culvert installation and poor maintenance for too long. In the past year, the culverts were changed or reset to correct water flow and drainage, however, the problem has not been fully solved. Areas of unwanted water accumulation remain and still a problem. 

Instead of thorough compaction at 2ft  levels, the replaced culverts were merely filled with gravel and only the top was compacted. This technique has caused subsequent asphalt patches to crack and sink, leading to more problems rather than addressing the original issue. Adding insult to injury, we have noticed deteriorating grass conditions and escalated amounts of garbage during the project. 
Meanwhile, we've experienced rising tax rates that seemingly aren't contributing to the resolution of this issue.

Further, it's not just about street aesthetics. It's a matter of personal and community pride. Many of us, some of whom are elderly residents who have lived here for generations, take pride in our homes and work diligently to maintain their appearances. Proper neighborhood infrastructure is essential for us to enjoy the fruits of our labor and fulfill our desires to live in a clean, well-maintained, and secure community.

I myself on the street among many others have contacted the town offices several times via email and by phone. I in turn myself bought sod to repair the ditch myself as I could not take the condition of the front of my home no more !

It's high time local authorities pay due attention and tackle this issue head-on with proper culvert installation and thorough maintenance. Please sign this petition to urge the local government to rectify the culvert problem on our street once and for all and improve our living conditions.
