The Issue

For the past three months, learners based in Kanyamazane have been anxiously waiting for the stipends promised to them as part of a vital learnership program. More than 60 young individuals, who enrolled in this program with hopes of developing new skills and improving their future prospects, have been left in limbo. These learners entered into a 12-month contract expecting not only the valuable training but also practical support through the stipends they were assured. However, from June 2026 to now, they have received nothing.

This significant delay in payment is not just an administrative issue; it's a breach of trust for these learners, many of whom rely on these stipends for transport, meals, and basic needs while they undergo training. Living with the constant stress of financial strain while being continually asked for patience without clear communication is disheartening. The lack of transparency from the involved parties—Department of Labour, Khunjulwa Management Services, Ndlovu Investment Group, and Zitha Consulting—has only added to their distress.

The learners deserve to know the truth about their stipends. We urge these organizations to honor their commitment and resolutely address this situation. This includes issuing the delayed payments immediately and providing a clear timeline for future payments along with improved communication channels.

By signing this petition, you are supporting the call for fairness, accountability, and transparency. Help these learners get the support they need to continue their education without the fear of financial instability. Make your voice heard by signing this petition and demanding action from the concerned authorities.
