After the Deputy Premier (and Education Minister) Prue Car has repeatedly refused to deal with the question of student deaths from choking, (despite being a parent herself); instead repeatedly passing the responsibility to the NSW Education Department who have demonstrated a complete lack of knowledge, expertise, and integrity on the matter, we have appealed directly to the Premier Chis Minns MP.
Premier Minns should be made aware of the failings of his Education Minister and the department she oversees and the reputational and political damage these failures will have on his government in not acting to protect teachers, students, and their families. He also should be made aware of the flawed defenses used by the NSW Department of Education to justify 'doing nothing' will not stand up legally, ethically, or morally in a coronial inquiry and instead highlight the incompetence of the department and his Minister.
