On September 24, 2024 the Susquehanna SPCA posted an update, a section of which is being shared below:

The team at Upstate Veterinary Specialties did everything they could to help him, but sadly, Oscar did not make it. He passed away peacefully with lots of people surrounding him who loved him so much and spent the last week getting to know him while caring for him.

Oscar was given a fighting chance because of you, and was able to pass away with a full belly and a clean, soft bed because of your support. We cannot thank you enough.

Oscar quickly won the hearts of everyone who got to know him. He was sweet, gentle, and loved to snuggle his nose as close to you as possible. He was a great big brother to Belle.
