Hello Fellow Residents, Ratepayers and Community Members

With the Council Elections due to be held on the 14th September 2024 unless an Administrator is appointed to Liverpool Council beforehand, Council is currently in Caretaker mode however I have sent an email to the Acting CEO Jason Breton asking for an update to the update received from Mr John Ajaka CEO in October 2023.

THIS IS THE EMAIL THAT I SENT

This is information that I received in 2021 prior to your appointment as CEO when I was able to communicate freely with staff and management of Liverpool Council as a resident and ratepayer without having my freedom of speech and communication controlled by you.

It would be appreciated if you could provide an update regarding the parks in Edmondson Park as the Residents and Ratepayers are asking questions.

I have put questions in CAPITALS so that you are aware of the information provided vs my questions.

INFORMATION PREVIOUSLY PROVIDED BY LCC TO ME

95 Croatia Ave : On-ground works commenced on Monday 12 July 2021. It will take Council approx. 3-4 months to deliver the works (subject to Health restrictions in South-west).

THIS PARK IS COMPLETED
NOW LILLIAN BRATKOVIC PARK
NO UPDATE REQUIRED

Basin 14: Basin 14 is identified as dual purpose stormwater water basin, which will include children’s playground, outdoor exercise equipment, a dog park, pathways and some more passive recreation facilities. Council is hoping to finalise land acquisition for Basin 14 and park to commence procurement of construction works.

HAS THIS SITE BEEN ACQUIRED?
WHAT IS THE STATUS?

Sinozich Park: We have also commenced land acquisition of Sinozich Park, Jardine Drive along with the concept design works. Sinozich Park is being designed to include sports fields.

HAS THIS SITE BEEN ACQUIRED?
WHAT IS THE CURRENT STATUS?

DPIE’s Parks 4 People program: Council is working with Department of Planning, Industries and Environment (DPIE) to deliver a district park along Camden Valley in East Leppington. This park will include children’s play, youth play, conservation and preservation of land’s history, parking, pathways and shared paths. The park is being delivered under DPIE’s Parks for People program with 80% of the concept design under consultation (stakeholder and community). The park will be delivered by DPIE and transferred to Council for maintenance.

Council officers are also working with Landcom to develop a concept plan for a sporting park along Zouch Rd, Edmondson Park. This park is concurrently being developed under Landcom’s precinct development plans for Edmondson Park. The park is planned to include soccer fields with cricket pitch, tennis courts and passive recreation facilities.

Majority of our works are impacted by the time required to acquire land in private ownership. If a land owner doesn’t agree with the offer, Council has to commence a compulsory land acquisition process which takes minimum of 36 months i.e 3 years to acquire the land. Council has no legal rights to do any kind of work on land in private ownership.

COULD YOU PLEASE PROVIDE THE CURRENT STATUS OF THE VARIOUS SITES AND WORKS

Yours Sincerely

HELP ME HELP YOU and the Community.

I need approximately 9500 votes to get elected as a Councillor on Liverpool Council where I will continue to  lobby the Council for more Parks in Edmondson Park and the State Government for residents to be able to have rail access to the new Western Sydney Airport,  to Upgrade Fifteenth Ave and other community issues.

It's important that IF the Election goes ahead you will need to vote for a minimum of 3 candidates BELOW THE LINE.

More information about that will be provided a bit closer to the Election IF it goes ahead.

Kind Regards
