Pepfar, estimated to have delivered lifesaving treatment to as many as 25 million people in 54 countries, faces a funding delay as long as 180 days. Cutting funding for HIV programs like PEPFAR directly threatens the health of millions of people, including LGBTQ+ communities already facing stigma and barriers to care. Trump's recent cuts could undo generations of progress.

If the freeze isn't lifted quickly, life-saving treatment will be removed from up to 25 million people and would have devastating global impacts. There is a significant risk that a drug-resistant strain of HIV could be created.

It is unconscionable for the Trump Administration to endanger the lives of millions. Protecting access to care means healthier lives and stronger communities. Our leadership should NOT play politics with people's health.
