Marshmallow originally came to Twist of Fate because Ashley DiFelice had a goat named Zebra that was born with congenital defects - his spine, neck, and shoulders are deformed so he walks a bit differently, and he was born with deformed front legs as well. As a baby, his legs were splinted so the joints are now fused. 

At one point Leanne of Goats of Anarchy sanctuary was contacted by someone about another little goat with disabilities, and Ashley reached out to Leanne about the goat because she wanted to get a friend for Zebra.

Leanne believes that the goat was named Marshmallow. Sadly Marshmallow was not among the survivors on that hot July day last year when Ashley's neglect and cruelty was discovered and people showed up to sort through her wreckage. However, in honor of Marshmallow and because she fell in love with him, Goats of Anarchy took Zebra home with her and renamed him Linus, where he is still flourishing to this day. 

I'm sorry that Marshmallow's story isn't longer, and even more sorry that his life wasn't longer. No one knows the circumstances or timing of his death, or what disabilities he suffered from, simply because Ashley didn't share that information or we just don't have access to it. It's possible that he passed away because of his medical issues - it's also possible that he died because he needed help and she wouldn't give it to him. It's also possible that he starved to death. Unfortunately we will never know. 

To Marshmallow: I'm so sorry. You deserved to be loved, cared for, safe, and happy. You deserved so much better than what you got, but you also deserve to be remembered. I think about you a lot and will continue to think about you often.

Ashley DiFelice's next court date still has not been announced. I have emailed the prosecution team a couple of times already to see when it will be scheduled or why it is being delayed but so far haven't heard anything.
