George was originally named Roscoe. Unfortunately I don't know anything about his original rescue or how he came to be with Ashley DiFelice at Twist of Fate. 

In July 2022 after it was discovered that Ashley had been starving her animals, rescues and sanctuaries from around the country stepped in to find new safe and loving homes for the 100+ survivors. When he was found, Roscoe was living in a field with a bull and a goat and none of them had any water or hay. They had a shed, but it was littered with the bones of their former friends and pasture mates. Roscoe was one of the last animals placed - he was so terrified of people (understandably so) that it took days to catch him. He was older, somewhat feral, and had never been neutered. Because having him neutered now at this age would have come with risks to his health and survival he would need to stay intact, which would require a very specific home since legitimate sanctuaries do not breed their animals. 

Fortunately Triple 7 Rescue (@triple7rescueandrehab) in New Jersey, USA stepped in and offered to give this handsome gentleman a forever home with them. Roscoe was renamed George and got to make friends with a pig named Franklin. He is still incredibly suspicious of people but will come when he hears his name called and loves taking his veggies from your hand. He may have had a very rocky start which Ashley only then made much worse, but now he gets to live in safety and peace, surrounded by love and friends.
