You Are Not Superhuman — You Are A Mother Running On Empty

Elisheva GrinbergManchester, ENG, Royaume-Uni
24 oct. 2026

🫂 My heart aches for you please, be gentle with yourself.

Passing out is your body screaming: "You cannot keep giving everything away until there's nothing left." It's not weakness. It's a warning that you matter too — and your children need YOU well enough to keep fighting for them.

⚠️ PLEASE — For Your Sake AND For Your Children: You Cannot Help Anyone If You Collapse

✅ 3 Simple Things To Hold Onto:

1. REST IS NOT GIVING UP — IT'S SURVIVAL

- Your child would want you safe. Your other children need their mum awake and strong.

- Even 20 minutes sitting down, drinking water, eating something small — that's not wasting time. That's recharging so you can keep going.

- You don't have to do it all, all at once. One step. One call. One breath at a time.

2. YOUR HEALTH MATTERS — YOU CAN'T FIGHT FROM A HOSPITAL BED

- If you feel dizzy, exhausted, faint — STOP immediately. Sit. Drink. Eat.

- You are fighting a battle that no one should ever have to fight alone — your body is carrying the weight of the world. That takes a toll.

- If you feel unwell again — call 111 (NHS non-emergency) — they can help you, it's free, and no one needs to know your business unless you want them to.

3. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS ALONE ANYMORE

Reaching out for help isn't failure — it's how you survive. You've been searching day and night by yourself. That's not sustainable. That's why those organisations exist — to carry some of the weight so you don't collapse under it.

🤍 I Need You To Hear This Deeply:

"You are already doing the bravest thing possible. You haven't given up. You haven't stopped loving. You haven't stopped fighting. But please — be as kind to yourself as you are to your children. They need their mum alive, well, and here. Rest doesn't mean you've stopped caring. It means you care enough to keep going another day. You are enough. You are doing enough. And you don't have to carry this all on your own shoulders."

Please — today, right now:

- Drink a glass of water 💧

- Eat something — even just a piece of fruit or bread 🍞

- Sit or lie down for 15 minutes — close your eyes 🛋️

- Breathe — deeply — in… and out… slowly 🌸

You are precious. Your life matters just as much as your child's. Please don't forget that. ❤️

Would you like me to find you some local Manchester support — food banks, family centres, somewhere you can sit and rest for a bit? 😊

🔹 Alienation = the feeling or state of being cut off, separated, or not belonging

- Can happen naturally — you feel lonely, different, apart from others

- Can happen slowly — over time

- Can be from society, work, family — not always on purpose

- It's what you feel inside

🔹 Shunning = deliberate, organised, group punishment — everyone is told to cut you off

- Officially decided — by elders, leaders or family

- Everyone participates — family, friends, neighbours are told to ignore you

- Total avoidance — no talking, no eating together, no help, no eye contact

- It's what THEY did to YOU — on purpose

Your baby father and their families

💡 So: Shunning causes deep alienation. Shunning is the action, alienation is the pain and loneliness you feel because of it. They are connected but not exactly the same thing.

✅ THE KEY FACT: If He's NOT On The Birth Certificate — He Has NO Automatic Parental Responsibility

Under UK law (Children Act 1989):

✅ YOU — the mother — automatically have FULL parental responsibility from the moment your child was born. That means YOU are the legal parent with all the rights

❌ If he is NOT married to you AND NOT on the birth certificate — he has NO automatic parental responsibility. None

❌ That means he cannot legally make decisions about your child — where they live, medical care, education — without a court order

❌ He cannot legally take your child anywhere — especially out of the country — without YOUR permission

⚠️ BUT — He Still Might Be The Biological Father

Even without being on the birth certificate:

- He can still apply to court to prove paternity and get parental responsibility — but he has to go through the court system first

- Until a court says otherwise — YOU are the sole legal parent. That is your strongest position

🚨 ABOUT YOUR ABDUCTED CHILD — THIS MATTERS GREATLY

Since he does NOT have parental responsibility:

- Taking your child without your permission is STILL wrong — and potentially a criminal offence — even without being on the birth certificate

- But because he lacks PR, your legal position is even stronger — you are the sole legal authority over your child

- Tell the police EXACTLY this: "He is NOT on the birth certificate. He has NO parental responsibility. He has taken my child without my permission."

📋 WHAT YOU NEED TO DO RIGHT NOW

✅ 1. Get the Birth Certificate

- This is your most important document. It proves: YOU are the legal mother, he is NOT the registered father

- If you've lost it → contact the Register Office where the birth was registered — you can order a copy for a small fee

✅ 2. Call the Police — 999 or 101

Say exactly this:

"My child has been taken by [the father]. He is NOT on the birth certificate. He has NO parental responsibility. I did NOT give permission for him to take the child. I need your help to get my child back."

✅ 3. Contact Reunite International — Specialists in Child Abduction

📞 0116 255 6234 — reunite.org.uk — they help families in your exact situation for free

✅ 4. Get Legal Help — Free

- Citizens Advice — 0808 278 7965 — they can help you understand your rights and what to say to police

- Family Rights Group — familyrights.org.uk — advice on children and family law

💛 WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU — IN SIMPLE WORDS

"You are NOT starting from zero. You are the mother. You have full legal rights. He is NOT legally recognised as the father on your child's birth certificate — that means he does NOT have the legal power to take your child, keep your child, or make decisions about your child — NOT without YOU and NOT without a court order."

Shunning you was his choice to hurt you. But legally? He doesn't have the rights he thinks he has. The law is on YOUR side. You are not fighting on an even playing field — you are the recognised legal parent. That is powerful. That is YOUR strength. Hold onto that. ❤️

🫂 That shows how much you love your child — I see how hard you are fighting.

⚠️ BUT — Please Read This Carefully

First: Your heart is in the right place. You are doing everything you can. I respect that completely. ❤️

But there are important risks you need to know about:

🚩 Important Things To Be Aware Of

- Safety risk: If the person who took your child sees the leaflets, they may panic, move location, or become more defensive — which could put your child at greater risk

- Legal risk: In the UK, police and courts handle missing/abducted child cases very carefully — public appeals need to be coordinated with them so the right details are shared and nothing puts the child in danger

- Your health: Walking door to door — especially when you're already exhausted — is exactly what made you pass out last week. Please don't keep pushing yourself this hard — your child needs you strong, not broken.

✅ What To Do Next — To Make Your Efforts COUNT Safely

📱 1. Tell the police what you've done

Call 101. Say: "I've put information about my missing child through local doors. I want to work WITH you — is there anything I should add or change to keep my child safer?"

They won't be angry — they want your child home too. They can also share the leaflet on their social media and website — reaching thousands more people than door-to-door ever could.

🖼️ 2. Make sure your leaflet has THESE things clearly:

- ✅ Recent, clear photo of your child

- ✅ Full name, age, what they were wearing when taken

- ✅ Your contact OR police reference number

- ✅ Reunite helpline: 0116 255 6234

- ❌ Do NOT include personal address, financial info, or angry messages toward the person who took them — just the facts

🌐 3. Ask for help spreading it ONLINE — someone else can do this for you

- Ask a trusted friend or family member to post it on Facebook community groups, local pages, Nextdoor — it reaches far more people than door-to-door

- Reunite and the police can also share it on official channels — this is much safer and more effective

💛 PLEASE — For Yourself Right Now:

"You have done so much. You have given everything. But door-to-door when you're exhausted isn't helping — it's hurting YOU. And your child needs their mum healthy, strong, and here when they come home. Let others help carry this load now. You've done your part. Rest. Please."

You are not alone in this fight. The police, Reunite, friends, me — we're all here with you. But you must look after yourself too.

A mother who walks every street, knocks on every door, day after day — that is love in its purest, strongest form. No one can say you haven't done everything humanly possible. You have given everything. Your heart, your energy, your very health — all for your child.

⚡ But Even The Strongest Mother Cannot Carry The Whole World Alone

Please hear this gently — it comes from deep care for you:

- You do NOT have to do this alone. Asking for help is not failure. It's wisdom. It's survival.

- You are one person. One pair of feet, one heart, one body. There are organisations, police, and systems built to multiply your efforts — so instead of 1 person knocking on doors, you have hundreds, thousands of people looking for your child.

- Your body passed out because it was saying: "I can't keep going at this pace." That is NOT you giving up — that is a signal that it's time to bring others in.

🤝 LET OTHERS STAND WITH YOU — YOU DON'T STOP BEING A GOOD MUM BY SHARING THE SEARCH

"Your child doesn't need an exhausted, sick mother who collapsed trying to do it all. Your child needs a strong, well, rested mother — fighting smart, not just hard. Asking for help doesn't mean you're not fighting. It means your child now has more people fighting alongside you. That's the greatest gift you can give him right now — a whole army of people looking, while you rest and stay strong for when he comes home."

📞 THESE PEOPLE WANT TO JOIN YOUR SEARCH — TODAY:

📞 Police — 101 — Give them your leaflet. Ask them to share it. They have channels you don't.

📞 Reunite — 0116 255 6234 — They know exactly how to find a child taken by a parent. Let them guide you.

📞 Citizens Advice — 0808 278 7965 — Someone to sit with you, hold your hand, help with forms, be there.

"You've done the hardest part already — you never gave up. Now let this leaflet travel for you. Let the police carry some of the weight. Let your community help. And please — while they look for him for you — sit down. Drink something. Eat something. Rest so when he walks through that door, you'll be there to hold him tight. You're doing an amazing job. You're a wonderful mum. And I truly pray your boy is home with you soon." ❤️
