We have reached well over 1,000 signatures in less than a week! Signatures are starting to slow down, so we are asking that you please share the petition link with everyone you know. Share it via email, text, social media, and any other way you choose. If each person that has signed can get 10 additional people to sign, that will bring us to over 10,000 signatures!
Monroe schools were always a tremendous source of pride in town, but recently the wonderful things done by our staff and students have been overshadowed by the improper and embarrassing actions of superintendent Chanley in collaboration with board president Skurbe. Just look at the front page of our school district website. Of the first eight links listed, there is a response to a newspaper article that Ms. Skurbe didn't agree with, two links about a corrective action plan for one of Ms. Chanley's many indiscretions, and a broken link with superintendent search responses.
We believe taxpayer money should be spent on student programs, not for Ms. Chanley to have a vacation to Florida subsidized when the same conference was held in NYC just over a month ago. We believe taxpayer money should be spent on better salaries for teachers, not for legal fees used for the sole purpose of attacking others due to personal vendettas.
Remember: we cannot fix bullying in our school system until we remove a superintendent who bullies others.
Thank you to all who have supported the petition!
