I am writing to let you know that the Environment Agency is currently re-consulting on the Shelford Landfill application, they have only just informed me but I am sure this petition played a part.

The re-consultation is being carried out because the applicant has significantly amended the application since it was initially submitted. The main change is a request to increase the annual throughput of waste compared to the original application.  The design and exact location of the main building have also been updated, along with management of surface water and fire water.

Comments that have already been received by the Environment Agency on the original consultation in Jan that only 3 people knew about, do not need to be repeated as they will continue to be considered.
