Petition updateDemand Independent Investigation into Scottish & Federal Lib Dem Safeguarding FailuresUpdate: Petition Revised, MSP Meetings & Next Steps

Thank you to everyone who has signed and supported the petition so far.

After 2.5 years, today I have revised the petition wording to make it stronger, clearer and more focused on governance and safeguarding standards. The updated version centres the call for a genuinely independent external investigation into safeguarding and oversight failures within both the Scottish and Federal Liberal Democrat parties.

You may have noticed Ed Davey in the press recently, giving his views on Epstein and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, all the while ignoring my requests for an investigation into wrongdoing in his own party.

We have to keep at this.

Meetings with MSPs
Over the past weeks, I have met with several MSPs from across parties to outline my concerns. Those conversations have been serious and constructive. Regardless of political affiliation, there is broad agreement that safeguarding and whistleblowing processes must be credible and independent.

I will also be meeting with the Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament.

What I need from you:
If you’ve signed the petition, thank you.

Now I need you to:

• Share it again. Share it to day with at least three people.
• Send it to friends, colleagues and anyone who believes in political accountability, safe workplaces and the rights of women to be heard when they speak up.
• Post it on social media.

We are weeks away from the Scottish election. Let's get loud about accountability.
