Novant has applied for a Certificate of Need to build a new inpatient rehabilitation facility in Wilmington.  This facility would potentially free up 60 hospital beds at NHRMC which may be a good thing but only if it is done right.  This is a concern.

The Certificate of Need healing will be on April 16 at 12pm
Location will be:   Building L  Room L107
                             Cape Fear Community College
                             415 N  Second Street.
                             Wilmington NC

Written public testimony can be submitted by email in an attachment.  This must be submitted by 12 noon on March 31.

Things to include in the written testimony would be:
1. That NHRMC has been consistently rated at 2 stars by Medicare for 5 years
2. That Novant promised to take every reasonable effort to bring NHRMC up to the top 10% and that has not happened.
3. We don't need a 2 star hospital  AND a 2 star rehabilitation facility.
4. Include a personal touch  "My mother had a bad experience. . . "

Would include 
1. Novant needs to explain how this project would improve care at NHRMC.
2. Novant needs to provide a plan of accountability to assure high quality at the new facility
