As many of you know, this petition was created to unite our voices and demonstrate to decision-makers that we demand change for the sake of our children.
Recently, additional challenges have been imposed on our children with Governor Lee’s signing of a bill that restricts cell phones in Tennessee schools.
While I have never been a proponent of cell phones in schools, we must acknowledge the reality that, in light of safety concerns, our children need a way to contact us or call for help in emergencies. How does this bill serve our children's best interests when crucial steps to ensure school safety have not yet been taken?
I invite you to join me tonight, Thursday, April 3, 2025, for a town hall meeting where we can discuss these issues and work toward finding solutions for our children. The meeting will be held at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Library in the Large Meeting Room at 5:30 PM.
