We're in the midst of a crucial battle for healthcare access for part-time/adjunct faculty at our college district. Sadly, our college district's recent response on September 8th offered no proposal for healthcare. This is a disheartening setback, especially when other community colleges, like Palomar College, have already secured this fundamental right for their educators.
But this setback won't stop us. Our fight for healthcare is far from over, and we need your support more than ever.
Here's how you can take immediate action:
- Contact Chancellor Diana Rodriguez: We urge you to reach out to Chancellor Diana Rodriguez at drodriguez@sbccd.edu. Your emails and phone calls are vital in drawing attention to this issue and pushing for a resolution.
- Join Us on September 14th: Save the date! On September 14th at 3:30 pm, please join us at 550 E. Hospitality Lane in San Bernardino, California, for a crucial board meeting. Your presence will not only show solidarity but also demonstrate our unwavering commitment to securing healthcare access for our educators.
Our community's passion and determination can bring about real change for those who shape our future. We're all in this together, and together, we can overcome this challenge.
Let's stand united and ensure that every educator receives the healthcare they rightfully deserve. Your support is not just appreciated; it's essential.
Thank you for your unwavering commitment to this crucial cause.
In unity,
The SBCCD Teachers Association
