The Success: The homeowner FINALLY cleaned up the mounds of dust and sand that have plagued the community. Neighbors have complained to the town about the dust problem for weeks as a health and community hazard. Neighbors couldn't open windows without the interiors of their homes being covered, couldnt keep their cars clean as the dust would cover it the moment they got home. Their outdoor areas, windows, and gardens were covered with fine dust that was whipped around by the high winds they get on the top of that hill.

Walkers also complained to the city that they had to wear masks and glasses while walking by as it was a veritable dustbowl style storm all the time. One woman stated she walked with a mask and umbrella in the sun to shield the dust.

The Setbacks:

1) We are not able to get on the calendar for the town yet - looks like we will be on the agenda for the Representative Town Meeting following the next one.

2) The jackhammering continues - non stop 10 hours a day 5 days a week of persistent repetitive jackhammering, as well as 8 hours a day on Saturdays....again where is our right to peaceful enjoyment of our homes?

While we are considerate to the fact people want to build or renovate, it's just the unGodly length of this project that is so frustrating. No one in community is looking ahead to the 177 Hamilton project starting this year.

The town needs to limit the length of these permits - and reduce the hours they can work.

We won't stop until we have more successes than setbacks.

Thanks again for your support and please keep sharing the petition - the more signatures we have, the greater likelihood the town takes this with the seriousness they should.

Thank you!
