Happy Thursday!-  boy its hot out there! This is a sad one -

I just talked to an elderly woman who lives alone. She won't turn on her air conditioner today because of her electric bill this month doubled. She told me she can't afford it! My heart absolutely breaks for her that she rather suffer in this heat than turn on the AC! I told her to please call for assistance. She already did. They told her that her social security income just brings her over the threshold for assistance which is $21,800 a year - 150% below federal poverty line.

This is how our Connecticut is helping us? Enforced "tarrifs" on our electric bill? What is this Public Benefit helping? The state coffers at the Green Energy Bank!

Thank you all for sharing this petition. We have 1900 already but need everyone we know to sign this so that Hartford will know we will not take this laying down!
