The Issue

For example, in the United States, over 300 restrictions on abortion have been introduced in 45 states in just the first half of 2023 alone. Meanwhile, in countries like Poland and El Salvador, strict regulations effectively ban abortion altogether, putting women's lives at risk.
The denial of a woman’s right to choose is not only a violation of human rights but also a danger to her health, safety, and economic stability. The World Health Organization estimates that around 25 million unsafe abortions take place each year, which can lead to severe complications and even death. With comprehensive access to healthcare services and education, these staggering numbers can be reduced, ensuring women can make informed choices without fear.
We call on governmental leaders worldwide to take a stand for women's rights by:
1. Enacting and enforcing laws that uphold women's autonomy over their own bodies.
