Hi,
As September unfolds, I extend my warmest wishes to each and every one of you, especially those with children embarking on a new academic year. May it be filled with safety, growth, and enrichment for your loved ones.
I wanted to take a moment to provide you with an important update on our ongoing journey. My children are currently enrolled in an Islamic Private School, the name of which I have chosen not to disclose due to genuine concerns for their safety. Every day, I make the challenging commute to ensure their well-being. While this decision has imposed a significant financial burden on my family, I do so with the profound understanding of the fear that continues to haunt not only my children but also myself.
As I grapple with the decision of whether I made the right choice by not returning my children to this school district, I find solace in the belief that our collective actions send a clear message. We refuse to accept that administration and applicable staff can unite to act unethically and create an atmosphere of fear that forces parents to abandon their district.
We are also mindful of the legal actions we have taken, so we'd figure it'd be best if distance was created. These actions are essential steps in our fight for justice and accountability.
The journey has been emotionally and physically draining, but I ask that you continue to stay updated with us and remain an integral part of our village. Together, we persist, united in our pursuit of a safer, fairer school community. Until our next update, take care, and thank you for being the heartbeat of our cause.
With unwavering gratitude,
Diamonnique
