Dear Plus Size Travel Petition Supporters,
I hope this message finds you well and in high spirits. First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support for our Plus Size Travel Petition. Your voices have already achieved remarkable milestones, and I'm excited to share some incredible updates with you.
Our journey took an unexpected turn recently. While we were preparing for a meeting with airline representatives, circumstances led to a slight delay. This, however, is a testament to the importance of our cause, as they've indicated their commitment to addressing our concerns through alternative means. This development shows that our collective strength and determination are being acknowledged and respected.
In the meantime, I'm thrilled to announce the launch of the Plus Size Community Census. This initiative will complement the invaluable data we've gathered from the Plus Size Travel Insights Survey, which has now become the largest of its kind – and that's all thanks to you! Your stories and insights have transformed this survey into a powerful tool for change.
But our journey is far from over. In fact, we're just getting started. I will be reaching out to more airlines this week, as our fight for equal treatment in the travel industry continues. The next big step will be submitting our case to the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) with all your signatures, the stories you've shared, the data we've collected, and my analysis of the open comment period from the FAA last year.
If any of you are interested in sharing your personal stories and would like to be interviewed, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via email at bodyequalityintravel@gmail.com. Your unique experiences and insights are invaluable to our cause, and we're eager to hear your voices.
Let's keep the momentum going and remain motivated. We've come a long way, and together, we can drive the change we seek. Thank you for being part of this remarkable journey!
Warm regards,
Jae’lynn Chaney
