Thank you everyone for your amazing support in this important matter - we now have over 20% of the membership to request our own special meeting, specifically for this one and only issue of allowing 3 days advance mls public marketing.  The request for this meeting, along with your names, was submitted on January 24th.

Today you would have received an email from the EO, announcing another Special Meeting.  

THIS IS NOT THE SAME MEETING THAT OUR PETITION ADVOCATED FOR.

Although it was stated within today's email that the agenda would include, but not be  limited to, the REALTOR® Cooperation policy, it is unclear what that actually means.  

The request for the Special Meeting advocated for through this petition stated the following:

The specific purpose of this meeting will be to consider, and if found fit, ratifying the resolution set out as follows:  

That the New Brunswick Real Estate Board hereby adopts and adds to the MLS® Rules and Regulations, a rule which allows members to publicly market listings for up to 3 days, prior to being entered onto the MLS® System, in accordance with CREA’s REALTOR® Co-operation Policy.  The rule will further state that any publicly marketed listing must state the date it will be entered onto the MLS® System, and that no offers or showings will be permitted prior to MLS® publication.

We recommend that we continue to advocate for the above resolution, at whatever opportunity or meeting of the membership that we are a part of.
