It’s been a little over three weeks since this petition started, and we’ve now reached 171 signatures.
The number itself isn’t the goal. What matters is what it represents: a group of users who are no longer isolated across forums, returns, and support tickets, but visible and countable.
Over the past weeks, this issue has been discussed in multiple communities focused on PWM, flicker, and display-related discomfort, and it has started reaching people who actively work on display usability and accessibility. These conversations are an important first step before any meaningful change can happen.
The request remains intentionally simple and realistic:
at least one smartphone model per lineup with a truly flicker-safe display, treated as an accessibility option rather than a niche preference.
For many users, current mitigation strategies are not sufficient, and the absence of alternatives in the mid-to-high-end market means exclusion from devices that are now essential for work, banking, healthcare, and public services.
If this issue affects you, or if you believe visual comfort should be treated as an accessibility requirement, sharing the petition continues to be the most effective way to help.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this so far.
