Men’s suicide rate 3 time higher than woman.

There were 3,214 deaths by suicide in Australian in 2023 with Men making up 2,419 of these cases.

Considering that suicide deaths are 3 times higher than Australia’s 2023 road toll deaths of 1,266 it’s beyond belief that there are no specific investigations into the precise cause of death by suicide. 

The median age at death for people who died by suicide was 45.5 years for makes which could indicate a direct connection to a period of life where they may experience domestic violence.

It’s about time the Australian government pay attention to the statistics and address the issue of domestic violence comprehensively.
