The fact that 3 different people I do not personally know have PAID to promote the visibility of this petition in the first 24 hours speaks volumes to me. From $2 to $30, during the holidays, people feel so abandoned and ready for action they paid their own cash to be heard. We deserve an investigation at the VERY least.

The public health data reveals concerning disparities in our community. Pittsfield residents experience asthma at a rate of 14.89% compared to the state average of 9.55%. Our community also shows elevated rates of several cancers, with an overall cancer incidence of 463.7 per 100,000 population compared to the state average of 449.4.

Under CERCLA, citizens have the right to petition for assessment of health risks when there are concerns about environmental exposures. Our community's health data suggests the need for a thorough investigation to understand whether environmental factors may be contributing to these health disparities. If we are not at risk there should be just as much data to support those claims along with blood testing and proper support for our doctors.
