Fantastic piece here from the Toronto Star written by Max Hansgen,  President of the National Farmers Union — Ontario.  Max quite rightly points out that, despite multiple reports, including one from his own government commission, stating clearly that there is absolutely no need to develop valuable farmland and green space, Ford persists in his corrupt scheme.

Ford has made the political calculation, that defying citizens, farmers, the Integrity Commissioner, the Auditor General and even his own internal research is the best path forward, so long as it financially benefits his developer friends. 

It's up to us now to show Ford how bad his math really is.  As Hansgen quite rightly states, this is binary. Return ALL the land. Return it now. And keep your hands off it, forever.  We need the greenbelt for food, for climate moderation, for wildlife and for the quality of human life in Ontario.
