Dear Supporter,

We hope this update finds you well. We're writing to keep you informed about the progress of our petition, advocating for insurance coverage of Ketamine treatments for veterans and first responders.

Since we launched this campaign, we've witnessed an outpouring of support, as well as a surge in awareness around the potential benefits of ketamine treatment. Ketamine, initially approved as a local anesthetic by the Food and Drug Administration in the 1970s, has gained recognition over the past couple of decades for its potential in treating depression and suicidal ideation.

Despite its potential, IV ketamine treatments for mental illnesses remain off-label, meaning they are not approved by the FDA for this specific use. This status has led to significant challenges in securing insurance coverage for these vital treatments, which can range from $400 to $1,000 per session.

However, there is good news. Several Ketamine Wellness Centers offer a special Hero Discount on ketamine treatment for veterans and first responders. Moreover, some of these centers have partnered with the Veterans Affairs Community Care Network to provide free ketamine treatments to veterans.

While these initiatives are commendable, they are not enough. We need legislation that ensures insurance coverage for all who need it. We must continue to urge our Congressmen and Senators to support this cause.

Our fight is not over. Let's stand together for our veterans and first responders, who have given so much in service of our country and communities. They deserve access to every possible resource to help them cope with the mental health challenges they face.

Thank you for your continued support. We're just getting started. Please share this petition with your social networks.

Best Regards,

Keith Fiveson
