I wanted to personally reach out to you and say thank you so much for signing my recent petition on Change.org. Your support truly means the world to me. I wanted to reach out and clarify something about the donation process on Change.org, as well as share some exciting news about my upcoming plans.
Clarification on Donations
Many people don’t realize that any donation made through Change.org goes directly to the platform itself, not to the petition creator. These contributions help Change.org promote the petition but do not provide direct funds for my travel or other advocacy-related expenses. If you donated through Change.org thinking it would fund my trip, you are welcome to contact them to void or request a refund.
Personally Invited to Washington, D.C.
I have been personally asked to go to Washington, D.C. to meet with legislators and discuss the issues behind our petition. My goal is to speak directly with decision-makers, share our stories, and bring attention to the broken systems we’re all trying to fix. I also plan to create content during my trip to help raise awareness and motivate more people to join our cause.

Upcoming Trip in April
In addition to my trip next week, we are also working with others to get as many people as possible to D.C. in April. This larger gathering will be a powerful opportunity for us to come together, raise our voices, and demand real change.
How You Can Help
If you would still like to help me cover travel and lodging expenses for my upcoming trip—and for future advocacy efforts—please consider making a direct contribution through one of the following methods:

With gratitude,
