I couldn't resist sharing that Newsday today (Tuesday, Oct 22) has an article about educator salaries on Long Island and how high they are.

Hope you will consider administrator vs. teacher salaries at Riverhead and/or your own school district.

Having community and/or PTO input into the Riverhead Superintendent search could help us to find someone who matches our budget and vision for our school. Our previous, full time Superintendent made about $250,000 a year. The current interim made $1,200 a day last year. (Which would be about $312,000 if annualized.) I am not sure what the interim Superintendent is making this year, because Newsday data had not "caught up" for the 2024/5 school year.
