Friends, I cannot express to you how much it means to me to have the outpouring of support I have seen over the last few days. Like you, I find myself troubled by the recent actions of our City Council here in Cape Coral. Because of you, our voice is one and this council cannot ignore our distaste of their actions to circumvent our Charter to more than double their salary. 

Today we hit a big milestone, over 5,000 of you have joined the cause to seek our council to reverse this action. When I first started this petition I would never in my wildest dreams think that so many of us would come together to sign. 

Together we have an opportunity to grow and make our voice louder and more powerful enough for no one on this council to ignore. I plan on delivering your voice to the first meeting in January and will demand for them to make a motion to immediately suspend this self imposed pay raise. 

I ask that you commit to yourself in getting at least one friend or family member to join their name to our voice, doubling our size. We the people have the power and together we can create change.
