This petition starts from a personal place. As a dedicated player of Hogwarts Legacy, I'm continuously frustrated by five specific gameplay elements, and I am certain many in our community share these experiences. Our plea to the developers is as follows:

Firstly, provide an option to disable the mouse cursor (except in menus). Those of us creating content on platforms like YouTube are hindered by an unsightly cursor popping up during our recordings.

Secondly, we request that you add a setting to allow us to disable tutorials, we don't mind whether it's in-game or in the GameUserSettings configuration file. Most of us are now experienced players, we've moved past the point of needing instruction every five minutes. Its constant appearance feels redundant and disrupts our gameplay.

Thirdly, we request that you sort out the stuttering problem, because as I'm sure you've read online, no matter WHAT we as players try, the stuttering is still there, we don't want to be forced to spend thousands of pounds/dollar or whatever our currency may be to upgrade our systems because YOU can't be bothered to make it so the game is SMOOTH no matter WHAT spec a player's computer or console may be.

Fourthly, we would really like it if more dialogue could be added to the game that enables us to not only choose our pronouns, but also to have students and professors refer to us by our chosen names, instead of New (whatever house you’re sorted into), new fifth year or new student.

Finally, we request modifications to the broom flight speed. The current speed cap lacks thrill and utility when we're engaging in time trials. We should be able to fly fast no matter WHAT altitude we’re flying at, this isn’t only a matter of increasing difficulty or excitement but also capturing certain movement dynamic that makes sense in the gameplay.

These changes may seem minor to some, but to us – the ardent players – they make a meaningful difference. The game holds great promise and has a dedicated fan base, but it requires attention to details to fully realise its potential. It's time the developers listen to their players and make the necessary improvements in the aspects of tutorials, gameplay and video recording.
