Good evening -

Thank you for your support on this campaign seeking transparency from the Milwaukee Health Department and MPS on lead in MPS schools.  We have reached over 100 signers!!!  I am pleased to note that I was able to speak with 2 press organizations today about the petition and the parents' demands.  I have been told that the full environmental assessment completed on Golda Meir will be released to the public tomorrow.  This is one of the demands in this petition but it is not the only one!  We will be keeping an eye out for that assessment.

Please note that while this is a good step in transparency, there are additional items we are demanding, including a written plan to improve the lead paint monitoring system which failed to catch the issues at both Kagel and Golda Meier and a written description of the steps MHD has requested MPS take to remediate the issues in both schools along with the timelines.

If you could take a moment to send this petition to others in the community to encourage additional participation we would appreciate it.  Our children deserve to go to safe schools and those we entrust with our children's safety and health need to be transparent!
