I, like thousands of others, rely on my 'Ring' doorbell camera to ensure the safety and security of my home.  Recently, I was alarmed to learn, through a report on the 'Rip-Off Britain' program, that there exists equipment easily purchasable on Amazon, that can disrupt the connection between the 'Ring' doorbell and my Wi-Fi. This breach in security is incredibly concerning as it renders the device useless, leaving my home vulnerable.

The capacity for such a disruption not only poses a risk to homeowners, but also undermines the trust placed in Amazon's 'Ring' doorbell as a reliable security measure. This situation must be addressed with urgency.

The program also made me aware that Amazon actually sell products which criminals can use to disarm the 'Ring' doorbell.  In my view, allowing the sale of products that nullify the effectiveness of a product they sell, is not only dangerous but arguably unethical.

Therefore, we call upon Amazon to take immediate action to resolve this issue. This can be achieved by issuing a firmware update or other technical solutions to fortify the 'Ring' system against such interruptions. Additionally, Amazon should cease the sale of products that can disable 'Ring' systems.

Every day that passes without action is another day that thousands of homes remain at risk.
