We, the undersigned request that the Treasury Metals Goliath Gold Mine Project be subject to an Individual Environmental Assessment under the Environmental Assessment Act

We, the undersigned request that the Treasury Metals Goliath Gold Mine Project be subject to an Individual Environmental Assessment under the Environmental Assessment Act
The Issue
The open-pit Goliath Gold Mine proposed by Treasury Metals will have a direct health impact on those living in Dryden and Wabigoon, Ontario. The town of Dryden draws its drinking water from Wabigoon Lake, which is where Goliath Mine proposes to discharge its waste water. Residents living on Thunder Lake will be among the closest residents to the actual mine site. We believe they will be exposed to noise, light and dust pollution, reducing their quality of life and negatively affecting their health. This project is a large-scale, complex project with the potential for significant environmental and health effects. We ask that the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, Premier Wynne and the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Glen Murray require that this project be subject to an Individual Environmental Assessment under the Environmental Assessment Act.
