Thank you all for signing and sharing the petition and sharing it on other platforms to. I just recently saw the petition shared on Reddit! So I made a Reddit profile, but they won't allow me to comment yet because my profile is new but I want to thank that person for sharing it. I have gathered some new information regarding data centers. Did you know that the United States of America has 40% of active data centers globally. 

The site Programs.com reported that there are approximately 4,280 data centers in the United States as of May 2026

With 4,280 data centers as of May 2026, the US has by far the most globally, almost 8x more data centers than any other country. The UK ranks #2 with 527, followed by Germany with 517, China with 369, and France with 346.

Unlike some foreign countries that face strict regulations or high energy costs, the US offers heavy tax incentives and ample land for data centers. 

As of June 2026, 38 states out of the 50 in the United States offer dedicated tax incentives to attract data centers. These incentives are often used to compete for capital-intensive projects that support the digital economy, especially with the rapid growth of AI. Source- Conference of State Legislatures

The deeper I look into the sheer scale of what they are trying to do here and across America, it just feels dystopian and leaves a sickening aftertaste..

I think we have already done our Global share. And we do not need to sacrifice our local resources to build more. OUR RIVER SUSTAINS US. DATA CENTERS DRAIN US.

Atlas Agro is a Swiss fertilizer company, not a tech giant. Why are our city leaders moving forward with an option agreement to hand over 275 acres of public land to an entity with zero experience running massive internet infrastructure?  

I know we do not have much time, until a sale decision is made. I have tried to reach out to an environmentalist group to see if they would endorse this petition, they had emailed me back stating, "The work you're doing to get the word out in your community and connect people to decisionmakers is incredibly impressive. Thank you." They also mentioned that their team is stretched thin, and may be slow at getting back to me.
