Hello everyone, I'd like to share that I have emailed the seven decision makers noted in this petition:

Over 17,000 people have now signed this petition! Thank you all so much for sharing in the voice that calls for an end of the murder of innocent children and civilians in Gaza.

I hope that our names will add to the growing commitment by people around the world who are calling for an end to the madness.

It appears that March 18, 2024 is "opposition day" in the Canadian House of Commons. NDP Foreign Affairs Critic, Heather McPherson (one of the decision makers that I emailed), says that her party will be pushing for an actual ceasefire (not just one in theory, as the Canadian, Australian, and New Zealand governments called for), as well as a recognition of the Palestinian state. I hope that our 17,000 names will contribute to these calls.

Please continue to share this petition. We cannot stop until an actual ceasefire takes place and the murdering of people in Gaza stops.
