MAUREEN KOETZ, ESQ. is principal of Planet A+ Strategies, a small woman-owned consultancy. She is a former federal Senior Executive who served as Acting Assistant Secretary and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Installations, Environment, and Logistics in the US Air Force. Recently she has worked as advisor for Movement to Protect People (MTOPP), East River Park Action and currently is a consultant with Voice of Gowanus. She is a graduate of American University, and the Washington College of Law at AU.
PROFESSOR TOM ANGOTTI is Professor Emeritus of Urban Policy and Planning at Hunter College and the Graduate Center, CUNY where he was the founder and director of the Hunter Center for Community Planning and Development. ALICIA BOYD is a Community Activist, Educator, and Writer. Alicia is the founder of MTOPP, The Movement To Protect The People, a grassroots organization created to stop the systematic removal of people of color, through rezoning. MTOPP organization successfully stopped a rezoning plan in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, to prevent a wave of displacement of low to moderate income families of color. She also co-foundered FLAC, Flower Loves Against Corruption. As a Pro Se litigant she, with fellow community activists, prevented a massive development site proposed along the perimeter of Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and the Jackie Robinson Playground.
