Today, more than ever, the #OcRecall2026 movement needs to come back down to earth and remember why it was created in the first place. This movement was not built for ego. It was not built for fame. It was not built to become a competition over who gets credit, who gets attention, who made the better poster, who organized the better event, or who gets mentioned the most. It was built because families are hurting. It was built because children are suffering. It was built because too many parents have been ignored, silenced, disrespected, and pushed aside by systems that were supposed to protect them. And yet, what we are seeing more and more is distraction. Too much drama. Too much competition. Too much talking behind each other’s backs. Too much energy being wasted on personal recognition instead of the mission itself. That is dangerous. Because when a movement starts focusing more on internal ego than external purpose, it begins to lose credibility. It becomes disorganized. It becomes divided. And worst of all, it starts to look like a joke to the very public it is supposed to inspire and represent. Let’s be clear: community service is not a stage for personal validation. Activism is not about applause. A real movement cannot survive if every action turns into a battle over ownership, credit, or control. The Parents Coalition works independently, but independence does not mean disorder. It means responsibility. It means staying focused. It means understanding that structure and purpose still matter. And California Naked Truth has an owner, but it also needs to listen to its members. Leadership without listening creates distance, frustration, and division. Any organization, platform, or movement that wants respect must also respect the voices of the people doing the work, standing in the struggle, and showing up when it matters. We can recognize the work that members have done in the past. We should. But we also cannot keep living off previous efforts while the current moment demands maturity, discipline, and action. The battle in front of us right now is too serious. Families do not need more drama. Children do not need more division. They need adults who know how to stay on mission. I stand today where I have stood from the beginning: no personal agenda, no financial interest, only for the kids. That has not changed. And I also want to say something that too often goes unsaid: respect to those who are there at every protest, every event, every hard moment, even when they are not on camera. Respect to those who do the work without asking for attention. Respect to those who keep showing up, who help, who support, who sacrifice, and who do it quietly. A movement is not only carried by the loudest voices. Many times, it is carried by the people who say the least and do the most. This message is for them too. Because the truth is simple: if we keep feeding ego, we weaken the cause. If we keep competing with one another, we help the very systems we claim to fight. If we keep disrespecting one another, then we are proving that we are not ready for the responsibility that comes with calling ourselves a movement. So this is the call: Put the ego aside. End the competition. Stop the gossip. Stop the disrespect. Stop acting like this is about personal image. Get focused. Get organized. Get serious. And remember who this fight is really for. For the families. For the parents. For the truth. And above all, for the kids. #OcRecall2026 #Focus #ZeroCompetition
