Long time since the last flood, but here we are again.
This is a photo from our very own Town Clerk, Maria Punzo Arias with flooding in her basement. As a community, we must understand that these storms affect not only us, but the leadership as well.
It is in all of our interest to show care for the community and not simply place blame. This is different than asking for accountability, however, because losing belongings and money hurts and change must happen. We hope that real transformation happens with the $96 million in funds granted (pending federal approval).
UPDATE🎊 We have 2 demands met with the announcement from Town of Cicero. The town announced today that they are waiving fees for permits on water/sewage related projects for the next 60 days and expediting inspections.
This is a great effort by the town to help homeowners get projects done quicker.
